Edited newspapers at Army Air Bases in U.S. and then served in Philippines. Prepared educational materials for troops. Part of group of soldiers demanding to go home from Philippines after bomb dropped on Hiroshima. Sent home and discharged in Feb. 1946. Went to Jewish Theological Center and then Hebrew University on G.I. Bill in 1947. Joined Haganah after Jerusalem Post building blown up by British. Private in Israeli Army. War of Independence. Career as radio journalist in Israel.
